When Simon Bannenbusch came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the KFC Uerdingen 05 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simon Bannenbusch couldn't finish the play. Tymoteusz Mios took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernabe Nel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of KFC Uerdingen 05 booed when FC Ferrauda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimundo Gora didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to FC Ferrauda getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Michel Böcklund hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the match, FC Ferrauda's goalkeeper Kajetan Ochabski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Simon Bannenbusch. In the 16th minute Bernabe Nel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tymoteusz Mios saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 32 minutes FC Ferrauda's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Arseniy Bokatyuk who took care of the corner kick. Tymoteusz Mios showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernabe Nel in the 33rd minute of the match. Kajetan Ochabski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heinz Rummel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Ferrauda's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ambrosio Ovando in the 41st minute. 44 minutes into the match, FC Ferrauda's goal looked a bit too open when Simon Bannenbusch came free, but Kajetan Ochabski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bernabe Nel to make the kick off. In the 55thth minute of the game Bernabe Nel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KFC Uerdingen 05's Tymoteusz Mios was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wofgang Kopitz in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kajetan Ochabski saved FC Ferrauda from getting behind. After 60 minutes, Wofgang Kopitz made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. FC Ferrauda's Kajetan Ochabski tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 63rd minute, Bernabe Nel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Heinz Rummel kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Kajetan Ochabski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heinz Rummel in the 69th minute of play. FC Ferrauda's Kajetan Ochabski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heinz Rummel in the 76th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Michel Böcklund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Ferrauda's Cristobal Osoro was substituted for Bernabe Nel. FC Ferrauda's Miguel Ángel Russo was substituted for Ahmet Baki Türksan. Michel Böcklund kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. After 81 played minutes, KFC Uerdingen 05's Arseniy Bokatyuk shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kajetan Ochabski came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Ricardo Lugebiel made in the 85th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Wofgang Kopitz however managed to control. Tymoteusz Mios showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristobal Osoro in the 90th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristobal Osoro got free with Tymoteusz Mios in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Ferrauda players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for KFC Uerdingen 05.
