The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tymoteusz Mios took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lv Hai Chong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, MICE F.C.'s Christos Perivolakis got control of the ball when Simon Bannenbusch tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in MICE F.C.'s zone, Hartwig Engelhardt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christos Perivolakis came out of the goal and Hartwig Engelhardt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dimitris Skondras hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Christos Perivolakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Bannenbusch, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Christos Perivolakis made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Simon Bannenbusch sent off a good shot on target. In the 27th minute, Hartwig Engelhardt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tymoteusz Mios made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Menios Tsirkos in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Bannenbusch in the 33rd minute of play forced MICE F.C.'s goalkeeper Christos Perivolakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute, Simon Bannenbusch ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christos Perivolakis was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. KFC Uerdingen 05's Tymoteusz Mios played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zinédine Papoutsiadis in the 36th minute of play. Tymoteusz Mios showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lv Hai Chong in the 43rd minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

After 58 minutes of play, MICE F.C.'s Zinédine Papoutsiadis made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tymoteusz Mios was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Simon Bannenbusch's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christos Perivolakis was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. In the 66th minute Dimitris Skondras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tymoteusz Mios saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tymoteusz Mios tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 94 minutes, Hartwig Engelhardt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KFC Uerdingen 05 and the MICE F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 94th minute, Hartwig Engelhardt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. MICE F.C. had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
