Fulgencio Araoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, FC NORDLAND's Joar Frisck got control of the ball when Folkert Engelaar tried to sneak it across the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Honorato Manex made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Rhys Hughes managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC NORDLAND's supporters rose to their feet, but Rhys Hughes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alex Hernaiz's late challenge caught a El Golden Volvió!'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alex Hernaiz helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of El Golden Volvió! booed when FC NORDLAND was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Hernaiz didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Fulgencio Araoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
