Spectators: 7448 (Terracing: 5587, Seating: 1713, VIP seats: 148) Smiddy Celts's Graeme McRobie started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jesse McJames made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Max Sandström in the 18th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Greger Arvidsson during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 25 played minutes Sacri got a freekick which was hit by Greger Arvidsson. Greger Arvidsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jesse McJames took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Greger Arvidsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 43 minutes, Graeme Gordon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Smiddy Celts's supporters crossed their fingers, but Graeme Gordon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arvid Bremming made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Graeme Gordon sent off a good shot on target. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fredric Rudqvist made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paddy Thomson in the 53rd minute of play forced Sacri's goalkeeper Arvid Bremming to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Sacri defense, Paddy Thomson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arvid Bremming. The Sacri fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arvid Bremming should have stopped the shot. Max Sandström kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Stig-Åke Asklund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paddy Thomson hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute Graeme McRobie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arvid Bremming saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sean McDrain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sean McDrain in the 90th minute of play forced Sacri's goalkeeper Arvid Bremming to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd match minute, Sacri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fredric Rudqvist to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th match minute, Smiddy Celts was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laerte Tande to maneuver through the defense. There was no doubt that Smiddy Celts were the better team. Smiddy Celts's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
