The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Dinei Fernandez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elvio Luix was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Edoardo Pascucci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 8thth minute of the game Dinei Fernandez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Desafio FC's Elvio Luix was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Dinei Fernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elvio Luix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dinei Fernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Desafio FC's goalkeeper Elvio Luix, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Dinei Fernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edoardo Pascucci struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Elvio Luix didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Merceron United. In the 21st minute, Alessio Bottaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute, Dinei Fernandez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elvio Luix took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edoardo Pascucci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 25 minutes Desafio FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Milosz Waselenczuk who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Milosz Waselenczuk got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Elvio Luix quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Elvio Luix showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dinei Fernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Dinei Fernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elvio Luix having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Desafio FC's zone, Edoardo Pascucci stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elvio Luix came out of the goal and Edoardo Pascucci tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dinei Fernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elvio Luix having to interfere. Merceron United's Dinei Fernandez got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 47 minutes into the game, Merceron United's Dinei Fernandez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Elvio Luix made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3.
Elvio Luix was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dinei Fernandez showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 52 minute of play. The audience was convinced that Dinei Fernandez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elvio Luix was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. 60 minutes into the match, Merceron United's Dinei Fernandez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elvio Luix narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 67th match minute, Desafio FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Ekialde to maneuver through the defense. Dinei Fernandez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Elvio Luix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elvio Luix made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Dinei Fernandez sent off a good shot on target. Cristo Peio's late challenge caught a Merceron United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristo Peio helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Desafio FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 77th minute. Penalty! In the 78th minute, the referee gave Merceron United a penalty. Milosz Waselenczuk looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Elvio Luix. Dinei Fernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Desafio FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Abel Ekialde hit a great ball. Elvio Luix made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dinei Fernandez in the 83rd minute. After 85 played minutes Desafio FC got a freekick which was hit by Abel Ekialde. After a defensive mix-up in Desafio FC's zone, Dinei Fernandez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elvio Luix came out of the goal and Dinei Fernandez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 87th minute, Dinei Fernandez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elvio Luix was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. Dinei Fernandez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Elvio Luix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Dinei Fernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 97 minutes of play, Merceron United's Dinei Fernandez made it 0-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elvio Luix was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match was over Merceron United could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Desafio FC throughout the match.
