Brooklyn SC were furious when Stacy McDonough was red carded, 6 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. When the match had been going on for 9 minutes, Mayhem Sharks's Fachtna Duggan got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jospeh McNally. Brooklyn SC's Anderson Donatello was substituted for Gerardo Beard. The supporters of Mayhem Sharks booed when Brooklyn SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anderson Donatello didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute Fachtna Duggan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jospeh McNally saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fachtna Duggan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Jospeh McNally made a huge save. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mayhem Sharks's goalkeeper Bruno Renan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jospeh McNally made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fachtna Duggan in the 21st minute. In the 25th minute Dwight Schrute shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Renan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Osvaldo da Mata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Jospeh McNally tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mayhem Sharks's Bruno Renan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dwight Schrute in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes into the game, Dwight Schrute cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Bruno Renan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Brooklyn SC's zone, Fachtna Duggan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jospeh McNally came out of the goal and Fachtna Duggan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mayhem Sharks's attentive Srđa Vulić managed to snatch the ball when Vinicio Millan made a throw-in in the 40th minute of the game. The supporters of Mayhem Sharks booed when Brooklyn SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinicio Millan didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fachtna Duggan in the 47th minute of play forced Brooklyn SC's goalkeeper Jospeh McNally to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Brooklyn SC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jonas Cole stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dwight Schrute in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruno Renan saved Mayhem Sharks from getting behind. Mayhem Sharks's Bruno Renan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Mayhem Sharks from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aloísio Toscano during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Aloísio Toscano kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Dwight Schrute received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Bruno Renan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Dwight Schrute managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brooklyn SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dwight Schrute was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Renan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bruno Renan was a little too slow when Dwight Schrute got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 66th minute. The score was now 1-3. Osvaldo da Mata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dwight Schrute in the 74th minute of play forced Mayhem Sharks's goalkeeper Bruno Renan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bruno Renan made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Elliot Whitley sent off a good shot on target. Anderson Donatello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Renan having to interfere. Bruno Renan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trenton Long, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bruno Renan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dwight Schrute in the 87th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trenton Long in the 90th minute of play forced Mayhem Sharks's goalkeeper Bruno Renan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 91 played minutes Mayhem Sharks got a freekick which was hit by Srđa Vulić. If Trenton Long had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Renan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dwight Schrute, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When the match was over Brooklyn SC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mayhem Sharks throughout the match.
