Mike Cai started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Paralia Athens's Dragoş Nica got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Paralia Athens's Virgil Olariu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trenton Long in the 3rd minute of play. With 4 minutes on the clock, Costel Neagoe commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 4th minute, one of Paralia Athens:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Paralia Athens. Paralia Athens:s Virgil Olariu showed great skill when he stopped Jonas Cole:s penalty. After 6 minutes, Petru Văidianu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paralia Athens and the Brooklyn SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Virgil Olariu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elliot Whitley, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 10th match minute, Paralia Athens was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dragoş Nica to maneuver through the defense. Virgil Olariu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trenton Long, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Virgil Olariu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dwight Schrute, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Elliot Whitley kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Paralia Athens's Rolf Biörling got a free kick in the 28th minute. Jospeh McNally took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mike Cai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gerardo Beard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 36 minutes, Dragoş Nica mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paralia Athens and the Brooklyn SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Brooklyn SC booed when Paralia Athens was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dragoş Nica didn't get a good kick on the ball. Virgil Olariu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dwight Schrute, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Rolf Biörling charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rolf Biörling the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Paralia Athens's Aron Nedelcea got a free kick in the 44th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Cole in the 47th minute of play forced Paralia Athens's goalkeeper Virgil Olariu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gerardo Beard stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Dwight Schrute dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Virgil Olariu, 0-1. Trenton Long took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Virgil Olariu. Virgil Olariu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Virgil Olariu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerardo Beard in the 59th minute of play. Virgil Olariu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rickey Ewing in the 60th minute of the match. Trenton Long hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. 65 minutes into the match, Paralia Athens's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Cole came free, but Virgil Olariu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brooklyn SC were furious when George Potra was red carded, 73 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Paralia Athens made a substitution. Gürkan Akaydın replaced Ke Zhou Yuan. In a very dangerous position, a player in Brooklyn SC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 73rd minute. Penalty! Dwight Schrute received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Virgil Olariu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 82 played minutes Brooklyn SC got a freekick which was hit by Stacy McDonough. Trenton Long's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Virgil Olariu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elliot Whitley got free with Virgil Olariu in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gonzalo Taibo struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Jospeh McNally didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paralia Athens. When the final whistle sounded Brooklyn SC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Paralia Athens.
