An unexpectedly hard shot by Pompiliu Ghionescu in the 18th minute of play forced Brooklyn SC's goalkeeper Jospeh McNally to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Paralia Athens's goal looked a bit too open when Gerardo Beard came free, but Virgil Olariu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jospeh McNally showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pompiliu Ghionescu in the 24th minute of the match. Jospeh McNally came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Paralia Athens's Pompiliu Ghionescu. But to his dismay, Pompiliu Ghionescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The supporters of Paralia Athens booed when Brooklyn SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerardo Beard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Virgil Olariu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Cole, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute.
