In the 19th match minute, Vαʅʅιɱαɳƈα FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Narciso Jerardo to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute, Ximun De la Rosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zosimo Ibanez in the 28th minute of play forced Vαʅʅιɱαɳƈα FC's goalkeeper Kim-André van der Schans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Remzi Oruz came free with the goalkeeper in the 33rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Paulo Victor could save by the left post. Vαʅʅιɱαɳƈα FC were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after Los Colegas del Barrio's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Honorio Geleberto took the corner. The corner ended in Honorio Geleberto almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Los Colegas del Barrio's Paulo Victor did a great save. Arsenio Quico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Paulo Victor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kim-André van der Schans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zosimo Ibanez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Garry Mason to make the kick off. Kim-André van der Schans made an important save on a dangerous shot by Garry Mason in the 51st minute. After 52 played minutes Vαʅʅιɱαɳƈα FC got a freekick which was hit by Remzi Oruz. In the 61st minute Garry Mason shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kim-André van der Schans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led Los Colegas del Barrio's Olaf Iniesta to fire away a dangerous shot which Kim-André van der Schans despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Garry Mason managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Colegas del Barrio's supporters rose to their feet, but Garry Mason was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kim-André van der Schans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee felt a red card was in order, 87 minutes into the game, when Hermengildo Ferrando put in a rough tackle. After 87 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Vαʅʅιɱαɳƈα FC! In the 89th minute there was a penalty for Los Colegas del Barrio. Olaf Iniesta stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Kim-André van der Schans. 1-2. Arsenio Quico hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Kim-André van der Schans stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Garry Mason's shot from short distance in the 94th minute.
