Emerald's 梅国崇 quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Niceto Oriol, made in the 17th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Emerald's zone, Remzi Oruz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. 彭树邦 came out of the goal and Remzi Oruz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Emerald's attentive 梅国崇 managed to snatch the ball when Niceto Oriol made a throw-in in the 29th minute of the game. 35 minutes into the game, Niceto Oriol threw the ball into play from the sideline. Emerald's 梅国崇 quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remzi Oruz in the 36th minute of play forced Emerald's goalkeeper 彭树邦 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kim-André van der Schans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Vermeşan in the 38th minute of play. When Narciso Jerardo fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vαʅʅιɱαɳƈα FC's protests and gave Narciso Jerardo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Vαʅʅιɱαɳƈα FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Narciso Jerardo hit a great ball. When Ratan Ayala fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vαʅʅιɱαɳƈα FC's protests and gave Ratan Ayala a yellow card for diving instead. In the 42nd minute, Ratan Ayala hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Victor Piţurcă came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Emerald fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victor Piţurcă couldn't finish the play. In the 50th minute of the match Vαʅʅιɱαɳƈα FC got a corner. Emerald's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Honorio Geleberto ran over to the corner to take the kick. Honorio Geleberto made a great header on Vαʅʅιɱαɳƈα FC's corner, it was just that Emerald's 彭树邦 managed to reach the ball for a save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Kim-André van der Schans was left in no man's land by his defense there! Remzi Oruz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but 彭树邦 read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75th minute Remzi Oruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 彭树邦 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Victor Piţurcă managed to get in a good position for a shot. Emerald's supporters rose to their feet, but Victor Piţurcă was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kim-André van der Schans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Victor Piţurcă scored 5-0 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kim-André van der Schans, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Vαʅʅιɱαɳƈα FC defense, Victor Piţurcă kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kim-André van der Schans. The Vαʅʅιɱαɳƈα FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kim-André van der Schans should have stopped the shot. In the 93rd minute, Petruț Culiță left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Emerald fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. 97 minutes into the game, Vαʅʅιɱαɳƈα FC's Remzi Oruz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. 彭树邦 made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-1. When the referee ended the match the Emerald players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
