The referee ignored Rot-Weiss-Essen's protests and gave Kryspin Banach a yellow card for diving instead. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jaroslaw Gongolewicz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. It was a well-played corner which Anestis Kotsopoulos managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 71st minute, Rot-Weiss-Essen's Hugo Haupt dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3.
