Georges-Philippe Jooris was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Klavertje Vier's players had a chance to rest. Zabulón Carabajal came out of the goal and Emilio Argina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Hannover Reds's Hartmut Klein got control of the ball when Claude Montens tried to sneak it across the goal line.
