Kristian Sykes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mike Hunter got free with Aristides Barea in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 9 minutes, Mihály Fülep managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. O rey Iván's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mihály Fülep was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11th minute, Mihály Fülep ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kristian Sykes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 14th minute, Mihály Fülep left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The O rey Iván fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Kristian Sykes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mihály Fülep, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Kristian Sykes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mihály Fülep went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Kristian Sykes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Augusto Fliz's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. A sloppy throw-in by Lance Cambridge in the 23rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by O rey Iván's Hüseyin Turan Yalazan. 26 minutes into the game, Mihály Fülep cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Kristian Sykes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Mihály Fülep sped through Troyes FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kristian Sykes. In the 32nd minute, Mihály Fülep left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The O rey Iván fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. 37 minutes into the match, Mihály Fülep had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kristian Sykes. Troyes FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mihály Fülep was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Troyes FC's goalkeeper Kristian Sykes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lance Cambridge made in the 42nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Duncan Farrell. When the match clock showed 43 minutes, the score became 0-8 when Mihály Fülep sped through Troyes FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kristian Sykes. The Troyes FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. O rey Iván were winning 0-8.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Augusto Fliz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the game, O rey Iván's Augusto Fliz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kristian Sykes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-9. Mihály Fülep took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kristian Sykes. Kristian Sykes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-10. Kristian Sykes came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by O rey Iván's Augusto Fliz. But to his dismay, Augusto Fliz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-11. O rey Iván's Pastor Martxot was substituted for Dionisio Orland. O rey Iván's Aristides Barea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carl Dodgson in the 63rd minute of play. A collision led to O rey Iván getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Venancio Reynardo hit a great ball. Carl Dodgson scored 1-11 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aristides Barea, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Aristides Barea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carl Dodgson in the 73rd minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Mihály Fülep notched a goal, 1-13, to the right of Troyes FC's Kristian Sykes. Kristian Sykes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Aristides Barea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cliff Whittington, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. The audience was convinced that Mihály Fülep's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kristian Sykes was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. When the final whistle sounded O rey Iván left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Troyes FC.
