After having played for 67 minutes, Zé Carlos Furlan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AC Korban's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Carlos Furlan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christian Fantini didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kléber da Silveira went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. 79 minutes into the game, Bebeto Vander was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Flamengo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AC Korban the free kick. If Giuseppe Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. AC Korban walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
