After a defensive mix-up in Flamengo FC's zone, Faustino Montez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christian Fantini came out of the goal and Faustino Montez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joãozinho Sexto kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the game, Rony Andrade was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Flamengo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Legacy Youth Academy the free kick. In the 10th minute, Rony Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Giuseppe Cordeiro in the 13thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lisandro Rameriz, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Fabian Rosio fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Legacy Youth Academy's protests and gave Fabian Rosio a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Flamengo FC booed when Legacy Youth Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabian Rosio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Giuseppe Cordeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 15th match minute, Legacy Youth Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabian Rosio to maneuver through the defense. Christian Fantini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Quirze in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Oliveiro in the 25th minute of play forced Flamengo FC's goalkeeper Christian Fantini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Roberto Quirze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lisandro Rameriz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fábio de Godoi in the 30th minute of play. Christian Fantini didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Faustino Montez went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. When the match clock showed 44 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Faustino Montez sped through Flamengo FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Christian Fantini. In the 47th minute, Roberto Quirze got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Legacy Youth Academy were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Faustino Montez to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Legacy Youth Academy booed when Flamengo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rony Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67thth minute of the game Faustino Montez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Flamengo FC's Christian Fantini was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After taking down the ball on Legacy Youth Academy's corner Jonatan Marin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Christian Fantini quite easily take care of the ball. Samuel Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 73 minutes into the match, Flamengo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Faustino Montez came free, but Christian Fantini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christian Fantini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faustino Montez in the 75th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Faustino Montez in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christian Fantini saved Flamengo FC from getting behind. Wilfredo Oliveiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Christian Fantini made an important save on a dangerous shot by Faustino Montez in the 82nd minute. Samuel Luz struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Lisandro Rameriz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flamengo FC. A collision led to Legacy Youth Academy getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Fabian Rosio hit a great ball. Legacy Youth Academy's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
