In the 25th minute Giuseppe Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian Lucila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christian Fantini stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Volkan Lolić's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. A collision led to Flamengo FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Samuel Luz hit a great ball. If Volkan Lolić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Volkan Lolić in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christian Fantini saved Flamengo FC from getting behind. In the 40th minute Giuseppe Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian Lucila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giuseppe Cordeiro in the 43rd minute of play forced Chelsea Brudzew's goalkeeper Adrian Lucila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Adrian Lucila was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fábio de Godoi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 53 minute of play. In the 75th minute, Bebeto Vander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adrian Lucila showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fábio de Godoi in the 92nd minute of the match. Giuseppe Cordeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Adrian Lucila made a huge save. Antoni Robak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Christian Fantini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Flamengo FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Chelsea Brudzew.
