Eigtheenstars 2's supporters crossed their fingers, but Feliberto Soter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 5th minute, Ernesto Baristo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eigtheenstars 2's Ignacio Valery played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalmacio Vermudo in the 6th minute of play. Ladislav Telepovský made an important save on a dangerous shot by Feliberto Soter in the 10th minute. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Eigtheenstars 2's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jeferson Santana was slow to take the kick. During this time Grêmio Santo André's players had a chance to rest. When Vladimir do Vale came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Grêmio Santo André fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vladimir do Vale couldn't finish the play. After 16 played minutes Grêmio Santo André got a freekick which was hit by Santiago Oliverio. Grêmio Santo André's Ladislav Telepovský played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julio Faro in the 17th minute of play. Ignacio Valery showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dalmacio Vermudo in the 20th minute of the match. Ladislav Telepovský made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niguel Abasolo in the 21st minute of play. In the 24th minute, Juvenal dos Santos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grêmio Santo André fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Benedito Freire's late challenge caught a Eigtheenstars 2's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benedito Freire helped the player get up and apologised. In the 26th minute, Benedito Freire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 29 minutes into the match, Grêmio Santo André's goal looked a bit too open when Silvano Bazil came free, but Ladislav Telepovský reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute Vladimir do Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignacio Valery saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Eigtheenstars 2's Ladislav Telepovský threw himself towards the right post 42 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Julio Faro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With 44 minutes on the clock, Santiago Oliverio commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 43 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Grêmio Santo André! In the 46th minute, Nunez Txartiko ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ladislav Telepovský was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Jeferson Santana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 57 minutes into the match, Grêmio Santo André's goal looked a bit too open when Yu Yi Si came free, but Ladislav Telepovský reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Grêmio Santo André's Ladislav Telepovský played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvano Bazil in the 59th minute of play. In the 63rd minute Silvano Bazil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ladislav Telepovský saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 84 minutes, Ignacio Valery successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ignacio Valery made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Juvenal dos Santos sent off a good shot on target. Ignacio Valery took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeferson Santana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juvenal dos Santos came free with the goalkeeper in the 92nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ignacio Valery could save by the left post. In the 95th match minute, Eigtheenstars 2 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feliberto Soter to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Eigtheenstars 2 getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Feliberto Soter hit a great ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
