Spectators: 7484 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 134) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Xacintu Ribeiro kicked off to start the match. 5 minutes into the game, Xacintu Ribeiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Dale Nelson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Xacintu Ribeiro sped through AFC Wimbledon Wombles's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dale Nelson. Xacintu Ribeiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dale Nelson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. After some careless play in the AFC Wimbledon Wombles defense, Xacintu Ribeiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dale Nelson. The AFC Wimbledon Wombles fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dale Nelson should have stopped the shot. AFC Wimbledon Wombles's Dale Nelson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xacintu Ribeiro in the 17th minute of play. In the 21stth minute of the game Xacintu Ribeiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AFC Wimbledon Wombles's Dale Nelson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dale Nelson came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Bucaramanga's Xacintu Ribeiro. But to his dismay, Xacintu Ribeiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. In the 25th minute Bernd Rechmann suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 25 minutes, Ralph Page mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AFC Wimbledon Wombles and the Atlético Bucaramanga players grew even worse after the yellow card. Atlético Bucaramanga's Hernando Harroyo was substituted for Bernd Rechmann. In the 26th match minute, AFC Wimbledon Wombles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralph Page to maneuver through the defense. Xacintu Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dale Nelson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xacintu Ribeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to AFC Wimbledon Wombles getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Ralph Page hit a great ball. Xacintu Ribeiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dale Nelson having to make a save. In the 30th minute Xacintu Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dale Nelson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute, Xacintu Ribeiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlético Bucaramanga fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. If Xacintu Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dale Nelson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xacintu Ribeiro in the 40th minute of the match. Xacintu Ribeiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dale Nelson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Atlético Bucaramanga were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sidney Dunn to make the kick off. Xacintu Ribeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Atlético Bucaramanga getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Adam Czubski hit a great ball. Dale Nelson stood somewhat misplaced when Xacintu Ribeiro came free in front of goal and shot 0-7 to the left of him in the 59 minute. Dale Nelson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Xacintu Ribeiro went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-8 was the resulting score. Ralph Page got his second yellow card in the match during the 67th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Ralph Page kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the game, Atlético Bucaramanga's Xacintu Ribeiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dale Nelson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-9. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Xacintu Ribeiro in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dale Nelson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dale Nelson stood somewhat misplaced when Xacintu Ribeiro came free in front of goal and shot 0-10 to the left of him in the 75 minute. After 78 minutes of play, Atlético Bucaramanga's Xacintu Ribeiro made it 0-11 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dale Nelson was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind AFC Wimbledon Wombles's goalkeeper Dale Nelson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Atlético Bucaramanga's Dale Nelson threw himself towards the right post 83 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Xacintu Ribeiro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 88 minutes into the match, Atlético Bucaramanga's Xacintu Ribeiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dale Nelson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Atlético Bucaramanga's Xacintu Ribeiro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dale Nelson. That made the score 0-13 after 90 minutes of play. Atlético Bucaramanga's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
