Theo Groom was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 17 minutes into the game, Afonso Portugal cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Theo Groom was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Theo Groom came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by LA COSA NOSTRA's 乔义竞. But to his dismay, 乔义竞 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Theo Groom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 乔义竞 in the 24th minute of the match. In the 26th minute 乔义竞 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theo Groom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute, LA COSA NOSTRA's Danilo Onofre seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Danilo Onofre the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of LA COSA NOSTRA protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Danilo Onofre had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 27 minutes into the game, one of LA COSA NOSTRA:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 33 played minutes East Ham United got a freekick which was hit by Ryan Ackroyd. Theo Groom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timóteo Lage in the 40th minute of play. After some careless play in the East Ham United defense, Timóteo Lage kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Theo Groom. The East Ham United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Theo Groom should have stopped the shot. Harry Robson hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Timóteo Lage made a kick off. In the 53rd match minute, LA COSA NOSTRA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonso Portugal to maneuver through the defense. Theo Groom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timóteo Lage, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 56 minutes into the match, East Ham United's goalkeeper Theo Groom had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by 乔义竞. 69 minutes in the game Evandro Azeredo did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Afonso Portugal. 1-5 became the score in the 73rd minute when Afonso Portugal elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Afonso Portugal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. East Ham United's Theo Groom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 乔义竞 in the 78th minute of play. Durval Lage took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harry Robson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, LA COSA NOSTRA's Rubim Malheiro got a free kick in the 86th minute. After 87 played minutes, East Ham United's Ryan Ackroyd shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Durval Lage came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in East Ham United reached it. East Ham United's Ryan Ackroyd got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Durval Lage showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harry Robson, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Aristides Mascarenhas hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. LA COSA NOSTRA walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
