Yosif Bakrachev started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Red Bulls's goalkeeper Pankracy Pyrtek had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabinho dos Santos. Fabinho dos Santos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pankracy Pyrtek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Iustin Coporan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Acácio Lara having to interfere. Acácio Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iustin Coporan in the 12th minute of play. Fabinho dos Santos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pankracy Pyrtek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Club Athletico Paulistano were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after Red Bulls's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Agnaldo Mattos took the corner. If Fabinho dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabinho dos Santos got free with Pankracy Pyrtek in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 22 minutes into the match, Club Athletico Paulistano's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Gelacio came free, but Acácio Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Gelacio in the 22nd minute of play forced Club Athletico Paulistano's goalkeeper Acácio Lara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Club Athletico Paulistano's goal looked a bit too open when Przemyslaw Bejgier came free, but Acácio Lara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Club Athletico Paulistano's Fabinho dos Santos dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 35th match minute, Club Athletico Paulistano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caetano Pelé to maneuver through the defense. Haakon Brøndsel kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 43 minutes into the match, Fabinho dos Santos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pankracy Pyrtek. Red Bulls's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabinho dos Santos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Pankracy Pyrtek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafinha Trancoso in the 46th minute of the match. Club Athletico Paulistano were awarded a corner in the 47th minute after Red Bulls's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Agnaldo Mattos took the corner. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabinho dos Santos in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pankracy Pyrtek saved Red Bulls from getting behind. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Acácio Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boruc Kornatowski in the 54th minute of play. After 56 played minutes Club Athletico Paulistano got a freekick which was hit by Zé Paulo de Senna. Pankracy Pyrtek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabinho dos Santos in the 61st minute of play. Acácio Lara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Gelacio in the 64th minute of play. Elias Cortes made in the 75th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Club Athletico Paulistano's Glauco da Rocha. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabinho dos Santos in the 76th minute of play forced Red Bulls's goalkeeper Pankracy Pyrtek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club Athletico Paulistano's Acácio Lara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Club Athletico Paulistano from getting a goal against them. Fabinho dos Santos scored 3-0 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pankracy Pyrtek, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Club Athletico Paulistano's Agnaldo Mattos quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Elias Cortes, made in the 84th minute of the game. The audience was convinced that Fabinho dos Santos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pankracy Pyrtek was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Caetano Pelé hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. 89 minutes into the match, Przemyslaw Bejgier had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Acácio Lara. Club Athletico Paulistano's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Przemyslaw Bejgier was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Club Athletico Paulistano's Glauco da Rocha managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Elias Cortes in the 93 minute of the game. Club Athletico Paulistano were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Red Bulls for a fine match.
