Marcus Hagström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Kunze in the 13th minute of play. Royal Excel Mouscron's Edgar Poe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dick Lindgren in the 14th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Oscar Kindermans kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marcus Hagström. That made the score 2-0 in the 19 minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Dick Lindgren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rank 1 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Dick Lindgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcus Hagström made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Oscar Kindermans sent off a good shot on target. Marcus Hagström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elvison Presley in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd minute João Augusto Fantini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Hagström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Rank 1 getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Fredric Åhman hit a great ball. Marcus Hagström made an important save on a dangerous shot by João Augusto Fantini in the 42nd minute. João Augusto Fantini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Hagström having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Conny Vesterberg to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 50 minutes, Dick Lindgren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rank 1's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dick Lindgren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Rank 1 booed when Royal Excel Mouscron was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Georg Wiberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Royal Excel Mouscron's Edgar Poe got control of the ball when Conny Vesterberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frank Kunze in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcus Hagström saved Rank 1 from getting behind. When the match clock showed 58 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Frank Kunze sped through Rank 1's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marcus Hagström. Fabiano Antonini kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Marcus Hagström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Kunze in the 63rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Royal Excel Mouscron's Florian Flaskgaard got a free kick in the 69th minute. Edgar Poe was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Mustafa Anıl Kayansel. In the 71st match minute, Royal Excel Mouscron was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oscar Kindermans to maneuver through the defense. Edgar Poe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabiano Antonini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Georg Wiberg kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Dennis Hermansson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rank 1's Marcus Hagström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Augusto Fantini in the 90th minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Rank 1's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Kunze came free, but Marcus Hagström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Royal Excel Mouscron's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
