Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cesare Simone started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Fiume Veneto getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Damiano Mancini hit a great ball. Camillo Malatesta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Kunze in the 5th minute of the match. In the 7th minute, Felix Vennersten left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Royal Excel Mouscron fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 10 minutes, Göran Bergqvist made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Fiume Veneto's Camillo Malatesta tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Kunze in the 13th minute of play forced Fiume Veneto's goalkeeper Camillo Malatesta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Fiume Veneto defense, Frank Kunze kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Camillo Malatesta. The Fiume Veneto fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Camillo Malatesta should have stopped the shot. 35 minutes into the game, Royal Excel Mouscron's Göran Bergqvist nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Camillo Malatesta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. In the 37th match minute, Royal Excel Mouscron was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melker Lundblad to maneuver through the defense. Göran Bergqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camillo Malatesta having to interfere. Camillo Malatesta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Kunze, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

The wind increased when Göran Bergqvist made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Melker Lundblad got free with Camillo Malatesta in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Georg Wiberg kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Edgar Poe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Moreschi, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. 64 minutes into the game, Frank Kunze recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Camillo Malatesta. Frank Kunze showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. 68 minutes into the game, Royal Excel Mouscron's Göran Bergqvist nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Camillo Malatesta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-9. Felix Vennersten charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Felix Vennersten the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Felix Vennersten kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. 76 minutes into the match, Fiume Veneto's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Kunze came free, but Camillo Malatesta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute Felix Vennersten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camillo Malatesta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute of the match Royal Excel Mouscron got a corner. Fiume Veneto's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Melker Lundblad ran over to the corner to take the kick. Fiume Veneto's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Frank Kunze 84 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-11. After a defensive mix-up in Fiume Veneto's zone, Felix Vennersten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Camillo Malatesta came out of the goal and Felix Vennersten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 88 played minutes Royal Excel Mouscron got a freekick which was hit by Bence Shamurin. Cesare Simone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Camillo Malatesta came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Royal Excel Mouscron's Frank Kunze. But to his dismay, Frank Kunze quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-12. 95 minutes into the game, Felix Vennersten recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Camillo Malatesta. Felix Vennersten showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-13. Royal Excel Mouscron's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
