The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of AFC PunisherS™ booed when DARAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petar Dzhurkov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sever Ţurcaş struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Dido Levicharov didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AFC PunisherS™. Fabian Ciociu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dido Levicharov read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Asparuh Pisarski hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. 18 minutes into the match, DARAS's goalkeeper Dido Levicharov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isac Frunză. DARAS's Dido Levicharov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Isac Frunză in the 19th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isac Frunză in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dido Levicharov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 24 played minutes DARAS got a freekick which was hit by Dragan Mangezov. 27 minutes into the match, AFC PunisherS™'s goal looked a bit too open when Roger Milla came free, but Costin Ignătoiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, DARAS's Roger Milla sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Costin Ignătoiu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 38th minute, Gavril Klinkov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Petar Dzhurkov's late challenge caught a AFC PunisherS™'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Petar Dzhurkov helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to DARAS getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Petar Dzhurkov hit a great ball. Costin Ignătoiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petar Dzhurkov in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mădălin Barbonța stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in AFC PunisherS™'s zone, Petar Dzhurkov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Costin Ignătoiu came out of the goal and Petar Dzhurkov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. DARAS's Roger Milla got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Florin Hrandabur during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Costin Ignătoiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roger Milla in the 66th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, Mădălin Barbonța notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of DARAS's Dido Levicharov. Dido Levicharov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sever Ţurcaş during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 73 played minutes AFC PunisherS™ got a freekick which was hit by Sever Ţurcaş. If Petar Dzhurkov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, AFC PunisherS™'s Costin Ignătoiu got control of the ball when Petar Dzhurkov tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 78th minute, Florin Hrandabur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Viden Tonov's late challenge caught a AFC PunisherS™'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Viden Tonov helped the player get up and apologised. When Roger Milla came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the DARAS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roger Milla couldn't finish the play. In the 94th minute Roger Milla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Costin Ignătoiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
