Seating: 1737, VIP seats: 150) mixednutz XI's Hans-Petter Phan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Cantona in the 2nd minute of play forced mixednutz XI's goalkeeper Mathias Thorsrud to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 9 minutes into the game, Erik Cantona recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mathias Thorsrud. Erik Cantona showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Mathias Thorsrud made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erik Cantona in the 12th minute. Mathias Thorsrud showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Cantona, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Saga TF's Santi Urbieta got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 20th minute, Hans-Petter Phan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mathias Thorsrud made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Erik Cantona sent off a good shot on target. Erik Cantona took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mathias Thorsrud. Mathias Thorsrud dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 26 minutes into the match, Erik Cantona notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of mixednutz XI's Mathias Thorsrud. Mathias Thorsrud was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mathias Thorsrud made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Arne Botnen sent off a good shot on target. In the 43rd minute, Arne Botnen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 45th minute, Santi Urbieta fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Mathias Thorsrud, passed just outside the right post. 47 minutes into the match, Billy Backman dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mathias Thorsrud, 4-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Erik Cantona made a kick off. If Erik Cantona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mathias Thorsrud took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Cantona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Cantona in the 60th minute of play forced mixednutz XI's goalkeeper Mathias Thorsrud to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute of the match, Hans-Petter Phan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Joachim Forseth saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Joachim Forseth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hans-Petter Phan, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After 64 minutes, Ferdinand Tvete mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the mixednutz XI and the Saga TF players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 64th match minute, mixednutz XI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferdinand Tvete to maneuver through the defense. 66 minutes into the game, Erik Cantona cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Mathias Thorsrud was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 70th minute Arne Botnen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathias Thorsrud saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 71 minutes, Erik Cantona made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. mixednutz XI's Mathias Thorsrud tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 81 minutes into the game, Erik Cantona cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-0. Mathias Thorsrud was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Santi Urbieta came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Saga TF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santi Urbieta couldn't finish the play. Erik Cantona blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mathias Thorsrud having to make a save. In the 87th minute Erik Cantona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathias Thorsrud saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erik Cantona blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mathias Thorsrud having to make a save. Mathias Thorsrud made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Cantona in the 90th minute of play. After some careless play in the mixednutz XI defense, Trond Gilde kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mathias Thorsrud. The mixednutz XI fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mathias Thorsrud should have stopped the shot. If Erik Cantona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. mixednutz XI's Mathias Thorsrud played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arne Botnen in the 98th minute of play. Saga TF walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
