BK Forward's Keefe Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Schorsch Schmalzbauer in the 4th minute of play. In the 5th minute of the match Staffordshire Terrier FC got a corner. BK Forward's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Waldemar Guimarães ran over to the corner to take the kick. Waldemar Guimarães made a great header on Staffordshire Terrier FC's corner, it was just that BK Forward's Keefe Paulsen managed to reach the ball for a save. After a defensive mix-up in BK Forward's zone, Schorsch Schmalzbauer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Keefe Paulsen came out of the goal and Schorsch Schmalzbauer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Schorsch Schmalzbauer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Keefe Paulsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Schorsch Schmalzbauer, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Matt Sullivan notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of BK Forward's Keefe Paulsen. Keefe Paulsen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 16 played minutes Staffordshire Terrier FC got a freekick which was hit by 任建笑. After 30 minutes of play, BK Forward's Marcus Kinell made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Clive Holloway was left in no man's land by his defense there! Keefe Paulsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Schorsch Schmalzbauer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Staffordshire Terrier FC booed when BK Forward was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oskar Stålman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Schorsch Schmalzbauer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Keefe Paulsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 38 played minutes Staffordshire Terrier FC got a freekick which was hit by Gary Medel. Schorsch Schmalzbauer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Keefe Paulsen having to make a save. Schorsch Schmalzbauer struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Keefe Paulsen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Staffordshire Terrier FC. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Schorsch Schmalzbauer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Schorsch Schmalzbauer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Staffordshire Terrier FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Schorsch Schmalzbauer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tristram Gower replaced Schorsch Schmalzbauer. 85 minutes into the game, Oskar Stålman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BK Forward's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Staffordshire Terrier FC the free kick. Tristram Gower sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Keefe Paulsen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tristram Gower in the 87th minute.
