Stamatis Ifantis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saga TF. Stamatis Ifantis came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Saga TF's Erik Cantona. But to his dismay, Erik Cantona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Joachim Forseth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evelio Gregory, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 21 minutes into the game, Arne Botnen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Stamatis Ifantis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind ERGOTELIS's goalkeeper Stamatis Ifantis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Saga TF's Joachim Forseth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Babbis Kourentas in the 37th minute of play. The supporters of ERGOTELIS booed when Saga TF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henry Ånger didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

ERGOTELIS's Sakis Sanidomenos was substituted for Panagiotis Agapakis. ERGOTELIS's Thrasivoulos Kyriakoulis was substituted for Evelio Gregory. The wind increased when Babbis Kourentas made the kick off in the second half. Stamatis Ifantis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Cantona in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute Erik Cantona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stamatis Ifantis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stamatis Ifantis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Cantona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stamatis Ifantis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Cantona in the 62nd minute of play. Stamatis Ifantis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erik Cantona in the 64th minute of the match. Saga TF's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Brian Laudrup in the 65th minute. After 69 minutes of play, Saga TF's Erik Cantona made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stamatis Ifantis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Stamatis Ifantis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Cantona in the 74th minute of play. Erik Cantona took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stamatis Ifantis. Stamatis Ifantis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. 81 minutes into the match, Erik Cantona notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of ERGOTELIS's Stamatis Ifantis. Stamatis Ifantis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Trond Gilde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stamatis Ifantis having to interfere. Saga TF's Joachim Forseth proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Saga TF from getting a goal against them. The Saga TF fans' excitement grew in the 88th match minute when Saga TF's Erik Cantona looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 8-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Stamatis Ifantis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erik Cantona in the 92nd minute of the match. Saga TF's Jo Gvardiol quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Nichifor Juravschi, made in the 96th minute of the game. Saga TF walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
