The Kelmond S.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedrão Sarmento should have stopped the shot. Armindo Salgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martien Sandstra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedrão Sarmento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Caeiro in the 15th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Geale Colen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 24 minutes into the match, Kelmond S.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim de Barros came free, but Pedrão Sarmento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gervásio Severiano in the 26th minute of play forced Kelmond S.C.'s goalkeeper Pedrão Sarmento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 28 minutes, Joaquim de Barros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VB-Team and the Kelmond S.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Armindo Salgado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute Kelmond S.C. were awarded a corner. Geale Colen went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Geale Colen got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Armindo Salgado quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 37th minute, Gerrit Hooiveld made a precise shot to the right of Armindo Salgado. VB-Team's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. When Joaquim de Barros came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the VB-Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquim de Barros couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joaquim de Barros to strike the kick off in the second half. Pedrão Sarmento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Caeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedrão Sarmento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Traian Hăvârneanu in the 69th minute of play. When Yu Ke Hong came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the VB-Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yu Ke Hong couldn't finish the play. Pedrão Sarmento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gervásio Severiano in the 77th minute of play. Pedrão Sarmento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Traian Hăvârneanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. When VB-Team's Yu Ke Hong in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kelmond S.C.'s goalie prevented a goal.
