The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Moussa Queffelec's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nikolay Kovalev was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Through an outstanding action, after 30 minutes, Nikolay Kovalev successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grigoriy Agapov in the 34th minute of play forced La Scaloneta's goalkeeper Ewan Davin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jackson Saulnier kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Denis Lavrentev in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ewan Davin saved La Scaloneta from getting behind. In the 47th minute, Anton Varlamov made a precise shot to the right of Ewan Davin. La Scaloneta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. STORM's Maksim Khomukha was substituted for Leonid Sokolov. After the first half STORM were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Denis Lavrentev to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, La Scaloneta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amaury Duteil to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of STORM booed when La Scaloneta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Engrand didn't get a good kick on the ball. La Scaloneta's Ewan Davin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save La Scaloneta from getting a goal against them. But to his dismay, Denis Lavrentev quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Anton Varlamov took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Ewan Davin to make any attempt to save it. STORM's Nikolay Kovalev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moussa Queffelec in the 70th minute of play. Denis Lavrentev hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. A collision led to La Scaloneta getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Madjid Pauly hit a great ball. Ewan Davin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denis Lavrentev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrey Buznikin in the 77th minute of play forced La Scaloneta's goalkeeper Ewan Davin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
