The audience thought a goal was coming when Americo Leheren got free with Isidor Quintarnaya in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Americo Leheren in the 12th minute of play forced FC Arges Dacia Pitesti's goalkeeper Isidor Quintarnaya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the game, Andrzej Mlekodaj cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Isidor Quintarnaya was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 24th minute, Răzvan Florescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mihail Nazaria was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Wilfredo Weterio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isidor Quintarnaya having to interfere. If Panait Moldovan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 40 minutes, Andrzej Mlekodaj mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ATE AFC and the FC Arges Dacia Pitesti players grew even worse after the yellow card. 42 minutes into the match, ATE AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Mihai Grozuță came free, but Mihail Nazaria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eriberto Remir charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eriberto Remir the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th minute, Eriberto Remir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Americo Leheren in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Isidor Quintarnaya saved FC Arges Dacia Pitesti from getting behind. When the match was over FC Arges Dacia Pitesti could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than ATE AFC throughout the match.
