With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andrzej Mlekodaj in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tim Johnstone saved The Tigers from getting behind. Dave Joy's late challenge caught a ATE AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dave Joy helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to The Tigers getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Dave Joy hit a great ball. Andrzej Mlekodaj took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tim Johnstone. Tim Johnstone dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 19 minutes into the game, Andrzej Mlekodaj cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Tim Johnstone was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 28 minutes into the match, The Tigers's goal looked a bit too open when Fredric Skog came free, but Tim Johnstone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilfredo Weterio kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After 33 played minutes The Tigers got a freekick which was hit by Kelvin Atherton. In the 44th minute, Kelvin Atherton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reynaldo Bartoli, 45 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Benji Murray in the 94th minute of play forced ATE AFC's goalkeeper Mihail Nazaria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Although The Tigers had been in control for most of the match, ATE AFC still came away with the win.
