The nice shot from Remy Sanderson in the 4thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Luis Quirce had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. 6 minutes into the match, Barra EC's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Kadri Adılhan came free, but Romeu Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, CACYFA's goalkeeper Luis Quirce had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Remy Sanderson. Romeu Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lukasz Merski in the 9th minute of play. Luis Quirce made an important save on a dangerous shot by Natanael Souza in the 11th minute. Remy Sanderson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Luis Quirce made a huge save. In the 22nd minute, Remy Sanderson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luis Quirce was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Luis Quirce made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Remy Sanderson sent off a good shot on target. After 35 minutes, Remy Sanderson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barra EC and the CACYFA players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of CACYFA booed when Barra EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remy Sanderson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Romeu Borges took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lukasz Merski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luis Quirce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismael Paraense, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Barra EC's Hélio Leão was substituted for Manuel Loyola. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ismael Paraense to strike the kick off in the second half. Through an outstanding action, after 54 minutes, Romeu Borges successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 60th minute Ismael Paraense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Quirce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romeu Borges was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Erling Halland showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 65 minute of play. CACYFA's Luis Quirce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remy Sanderson in the 73rd minute of play. CACYFA's Gaspar Dunixi was substituted for Erling Halland. In the 76th match minute, CACYFA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benigno Amor to maneuver through the defense. CACYFA made a substitution. Frank Thorbrügge replaced Benigno Amor. Barra EC's Pedro Luiz Souto was substituted for Ismael Paraense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelino Ospin in the 80th minute of play forced Barra EC's goalkeeper Romeu Borges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ahmet Kadri Adılhan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 93rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Romeu Borges. Barra EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. CACYFA's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
