Abel Bueno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximino Romero, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Abel Bueno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximino Romero in the 11th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Qikiqtarjuaq FC's goal looked a bit too open when Yusuf Yazıcı came free, but Abel Bueno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Michael Owen could shoot a difficult shot in the 23rd minute, which Yu Kun however easily saved by the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ilgaz Şirvan in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yu Kun saved Tio Cosme FC from getting behind. 33 minutes into the match, Tio Cosme FC's goalkeeper Yu Kun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Michael Owen. In the 37th minute Maximino Romero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Bueno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Raul Oriol had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Abel Bueno. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Raul Oriol was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's Daron Keen was substituted for Mario Dostie. Michael Owen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Yu Kun made a huge save. The Qikiqtarjuaq FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tio Cosme FC were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Michael Owen made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Quinton Marcheterre was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Qikiqtarjuaq FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tio Cosme FC the free kick. Tio Cosme FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
