Claus Himschoot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barnaba Lamczyk in the 18th minute of play. Francis Calmes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kuido Suursaar's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Francis Calmes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Scibilia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When PomeziaRamblers's Bruno Scibilia in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After the first half PomeziaRamblers were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Doru Mihuț was the one to do the kick off. Francis Calmes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Freddie Ljungberg in the 51st minute. When Bruno Scibilia came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the PomeziaRamblers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruno Scibilia couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zachary Pankowski in the 58th minute of play forced PomeziaRamblers's goalkeeper Claus Himschoot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by PomeziaRamblers's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner.
