Christoffer Eckegren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eduardo Baiano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristóvão Ribeiro in the 10th minute of play forced Morris FC's goalkeeper Alexis Vincenti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 13 played minutes Morris FC got a freekick which was hit by Danny Amand. A collision led to Morris FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Jan-Ove Kråk hit a great ball. Alexis Vincenti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Salles, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 22nd minute Richard Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexis Vincenti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
