Carlos Saúl Recalde who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 5thth minute tested the skills of Silban Arroyuelo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 8 minutes into the game, Cristiano Lago recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Silban Arroyuelo. Cristiano Lago showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Saúl Recalde got free with Silban Arroyuelo in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Silban Arroyuelo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Lago, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Cristiano Lago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Silban Arroyuelo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Until Five's Cristiano Lago came free and shot a quick shot against goal 22 minutes in the game, fortunately Silban Arroyuelo had problems saving as it came toward the left post. After having played for 23 minutes, Cristiano Lago managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Until Five's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristiano Lago was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 27th minute of the game, Valdo Lopez landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Silban Arroyuelo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Saúl Recalde in the 51st minute of play.
