Club Atlético Temperley's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hermengildo Raymon in the 4th minute. Jelte Bleiswijk might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ioan Voicu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jelte Bleiswijk ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanasis Koltsidas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rolando Lopez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Jelte Bleiswijk managed to get in a good position for a shot. AEK S.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Jelte Bleiswijk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ioan Voicu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanasis Koltsidas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Correia in the 15th minute of play. Sakis Tavlaridis hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Club Atlético Temperley's Gaston Laurendi got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 19 played minutes Club Atlético Temperley got a freekick which was hit by Lino Lizbeth. Ioan Voicu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donzel Goyeneta in the 20th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Temperley's goal looked a bit too open when Donzel Goyeneta came free, but Ioan Voicu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute Aníbal Solares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thanasis Koltsidas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aníbal Solares who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Thanasis Koltsidas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jelte Bleiswijk in the 28th minute of play forced Club Atlético Temperley's goalkeeper Ioan Voicu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club Atlético Temperley's Ioan Voicu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donzel Goyeneta in the 32nd minute of play. AEK S.C made a substitution. Nektarios Tsagarakis replaced Sakis Tavlaridis. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jelte Bleiswijk to strike the kick off in the second half. Club Atlético Temperley's Ioan Voicu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jelte Bleiswijk in the 54th minute of play. Ioan Voicu made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Nektarios Tsagarakis sent off a good shot on target. Cristiano Correia scored 1-1 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thanasis Koltsidas, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 97th minute, AEK S.C's Jelte Bleiswijk ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ioan Voicu. Ioan Voicu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. AEK S.C walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
