Thanasis Koltsidas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Anibal Berbiz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thanasis Koltsidas having to make a save. In the 23rd minute, Boris Pigeon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Jelte Bleiswijk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanasis Koltsidas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anibal Berbiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. 28 minutes into the match, AEK S.C's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Emeterio came free, but Thanasis Koltsidas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute Rodolfo Emeterio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thanasis Koltsidas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jedrzej Koprowski made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Jelte Bleiswijk sent off a good shot on target. After 46 minutes, Rodrigo Hats mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AEK S.C and the club atletico aldosivi players grew even worse after the yellow card. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

AEK S.C's Nektarios Tsagarakis was substituted for Sakis Tavlaridis. The wind increased when Jelte Bleiswijk made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rodolfo Emeterio in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thanasis Koltsidas saved AEK S.C from getting behind. 66 minutes into the match, AEK S.C's goalkeeper Thanasis Koltsidas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rodolfo Emeterio. Thanasis Koltsidas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodolfo Emeterio in the 68th minute of the match. Jedrzej Koprowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nektarios Tsagarakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jedrzej Koprowski came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by AEK S.C's Nektarios Tsagarakis. But to his dismay, Nektarios Tsagarakis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. club atletico aldosivi's Samai Asmawan was substituted for Anibal Berbiz. Thanasis Koltsidas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for club atletico aldosivi. 81 minutes into the game, AEK S.C's Jelte Bleiswijk nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jedrzej Koprowski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1.
