In the 17th minute of the match, Fausto Mendonça got a very nice opportunity to score, but Herb Good was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Herb Good made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fausto Mendonça in the 18th minute. Herb Good showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fausto Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Jean Britton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Naldo Proença tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Scarlet Speedster's Raigo Vananurm, in the 39th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Scarlet Speedster. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raigo Vananurm in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Herb Good saved Sport Lisboa e Benfica from getting behind. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jean Britton to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Trey Easley was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Scarlet Speedster the free kick. After a rather tough play, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Trey Easley got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 63rd match minute, Sport Lisboa e Benfica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Collin Grimm to maneuver through the defense. Herb Good made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Mendonça in the 66th minute of play. After 66 played minutes Sport Lisboa e Benfica got a freekick which was hit by Collin Grimm. 龚棋岩 charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed 龚棋岩 the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jean Britton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Naldo Proença made a huge save. 73 minutes into the match, Raigo Vananurm notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Herb Good. Herb Good was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Sport Lisboa e Benfica booed when Scarlet Speedster was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. 龚棋岩 didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Sam McCain was substituted for Emilio Hankins. After 76 played minutes Scarlet Speedster got a freekick which was hit by 龚棋岩. 89 minutes into the match, Scarlet Speedster's goalkeeper Naldo Proença had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jean Britton. Fausto Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Herb Good tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Du Lei Bin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Naldo Proença. Scarlet Speedster's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Du Lei Bin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Rainier Steiner hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Scarlet Speedster were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
