In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sport Lisboa e Benfica's goalkeeper Herb Good, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 36 minutes of play, Cuatrodeocho's David Batuhin made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Herb Good was left in no man's land by his defense there! Inge Marin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean Britton in the 43rd minute of the match. Herb Good didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from David Batuhin went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

A throw-in in the 52nd minute of the game was made by Marcel Lynn with Jean Britton as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The audience thought a goal was coming when David Batuhin got free with Herb Good in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jean Britton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Inge Marin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Marcel Lynn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th match minute, Sport Lisboa e Benfica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcel Lynn to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Batuhin in the 61st minute of play forced Sport Lisboa e Benfica's goalkeeper Herb Good to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Herb Good got control of the ball when David Batuhin tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee ignored Sport Lisboa e Benfica's protests and gave Du Lei Bin a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sport Lisboa e Benfica getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Cuatrodeocho's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Herb Good made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Iván Villafane sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Cuatrodeocho eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
