In the 16th minute Jairo Estrela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herb Good saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 17 played minutes BIAMAR got a freekick which was hit by Slawomir Winszman. BIAMAR's Caio Guerreiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save BIAMAR from getting a goal against them. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Jean Britton got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jean Britton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 24 minutes into the match, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Jean Britton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Caio Guerreiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Herb Good showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ceferino Salvatore in the 27th minute of the match. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Herb Good played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ceferino Salvatore in the 28th minute of play. Caio Guerreiro was a little too slow when Jean Britton got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 36th minute, Jairo Estrela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Jean Britton took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Caio Guerreiro to make any attempt to save it. 41 minutes into the match, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's goal looked a bit too open when Ceferino Salvatore came free, but Herb Good reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Herb Good showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Israel Faria, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Sigvard Wahlnäs made the kick off in the second half. When Slawomir Winszman fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BIAMAR's protests and gave Slawomir Winszman a yellow card for diving instead. After 53 played minutes BIAMAR got a freekick which was hit by Slawomir Winszman. 60 minutes into the game, Jean Britton cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Caio Guerreiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. BIAMAR made a substitution. Valentin Banga replaced Israel Faria. Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Herb Good played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Banga in the 64th minute of play. BIAMAR's Valentin Banga managed to work through Sport Lisboa e Benfica's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Valentin Banga dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 73rd minute Jean Britton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caio Guerreiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Herb Good got control of the ball when Valentin Banga tried to sneak it across the goal line. 78 minutes into the match, BIAMAR's goal looked a bit too open when Jean Britton came free, but Caio Guerreiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. BIAMAR's Adrian Păunescu pulled a muscle in his leg after 80 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 81 minutes into the game, Jean Britton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A collision led to BIAMAR getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Faruk Bakırcı hit a great ball. 89 minutes into the match, BIAMAR's goal looked a bit too open when Jean Britton came free, but Caio Guerreiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Collin Grimm hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Herb Good made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ceferino Salvatore in the 93rd minute of play. BIAMAR's Caio Guerreiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean Britton in the 96th minute of play. BIAMAR's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Sport Lisboa e Benfica had won, even though BIAMAR had held more of the ball.
