The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. John Aldridge received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Aurelio Giammaria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Mo Salah took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Aurelio Giammaria to make any attempt to save it. Manly FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Nilson Snabl in the 10th minute. With a little luck, ★★★ Lightning Dragons★★★'s Aurelio Giammaria got control of the ball when John Aldridge tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 17th minute C.J. 吕布 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duncan Mcinnes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manly FC's Duncan Mcinnes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benny Koks in the 19th minute of play. Duncan Mcinnes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from C.J. 吕布 in the 24th minute of the match. Duncan Mcinnes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benny Koks, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After a rather tough play, Manly FC's Clifford Hamilton got a free kick in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benny Koks in the 28th minute of play forced Manly FC's goalkeeper Duncan Mcinnes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. C.J. 吕布 kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Manly FC's goal looked a bit too open when C.J. 吕布 came free, but Duncan Mcinnes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 41 minutes Manly FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Benny Koks who took care of the corner kick. ★★★ Lightning Dragons★★★'s Benny Koks was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Duncan Mcinnes in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Harry Karisma hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After 45 played minutes ★★★ Lightning Dragons★★★ got a freekick which was hit by Yerko Rey. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benny Koks in the 47th minute of play forced Manly FC's goalkeeper Duncan Mcinnes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The audience was convinced that Benny Koks's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Duncan Mcinnes was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Aldridge in the 71st minute of play forced ★★★ Lightning Dragons★★★'s goalkeeper Aurelio Giammaria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lin Xuan Hai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Manly FC's Duncan Mcinnes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Manly FC from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, John Aldridge managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manly FC's supporters rose to their feet, but John Aldridge was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aurelio Giammaria breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. ★★★ Lightning Dragons★★★ had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
