Christiano Ronaldo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Lucio Afonso made a huge save. Fernado Alves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Sugoi in the 17th minute of play. Fernado Alves came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by TALLERES DE CBA's Jeremias Sugoi. But to his dismay, Jeremias Sugoi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Lucio Afonso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christiano Ronaldo in the 24th minute. In the 25thth minute of the game Christiano Ronaldo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but TALLERES DE CBA's Lucio Afonso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Christiano Ronaldo might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lucio Afonso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Christiano Ronaldo ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christiano Ronaldo in the 30th minute of play forced TALLERES DE CBA's goalkeeper Lucio Afonso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Christiano Ronaldo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lucio Afonso was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. The corner led Unione Sportiva's Kimon Yfantis to fire away a dangerous shot which Lucio Afonso despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 80thth minute of the game Christiano Ronaldo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but TALLERES DE CBA's Lucio Afonso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the TALLERES DE CBA defense, Christiano Ronaldo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lucio Afonso. The TALLERES DE CBA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lucio Afonso should have stopped the shot. Fernado Alves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antonio Bernard in the 87th minute. Lucio Afonso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christiano Ronaldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 94th minute, Christiano Ronaldo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
