Emilian Martinez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joseph Asklöv, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Sao Brasola's goal looked a bit too open when Rogério Vidal came free, but Urbano Saturnin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Chihuahua StrikerS™ booed when Sao Brasola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iwo Pawlik didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Chihuahua StrikerS™ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emilian Martinez should have stopped the shot. Sao Brasola's Caetano Velasques was substituted for Joseph Asklöv. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Cesare Punta made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Sao Brasola's Urbano Saturnin got control of the ball when Erlingur Haaland tried to sneak it across the goal line.
