The audience was convinced that Gernando Azevedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Angelino Barba was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. In the 36th minute, Gernando Azevedo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los Andes FC - FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. If Gernando Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belarmino Viejo in the 68th minute of play forced Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's goalkeeper João Carlos Lucas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75thth minute of the game Aquilino Velazquez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's João Carlos Lucas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. João Carlos Lucas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belarmino Viejo in the 78th minute of play. The Club Deportivo Polonia supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's performance. The match ended with a win for Los Andes FC - FSCMZ.
