The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kobe Haaland in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tomas Brandt saved Alianza Trujillo from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yu Ting Sang in the 8th minute of play forced América-SC F.C.'s goalkeeper Nestor Quirino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jerônimo Pimenta struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Tomas Brandt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for América-SC F.C.. In the 10th minute Gabi Gol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomas Brandt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes in the game, Gabi Gol dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Tomas Brandt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kobe Haaland in the 16th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cayetano Montez in the 19th minute of play forced América-SC F.C.'s goalkeeper Nestor Quirino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yu Ting Sang kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. América-SC F.C.'s Nestor Quirino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yu Ting Sang in the 30th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Froilan Pascual got free with Nestor Quirino in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 70 minutes, Szilveszter Szegh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alianza Trujillo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Szilveszter Szegh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The América-SC F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing América-SC F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
