In the 4th minute of the match FC ANC got a corner. América-SC F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Anıl Akdoruk ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on FC ANC's corner Anıl Akdoruk fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nestor Quirino quite easily take care of the ball. In the 5th minute Artemio Quiroga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Quirino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When FC ANC's Måns Kjellman in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye América-SC F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. When Altuğ Vakkasoğlu fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored América-SC F.C.'s protests and gave Altuğ Vakkasoğlu a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to América-SC F.C. getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Altuğ Vakkasoğlu hit a great ball. América-SC F.C.'s Nestor Quirino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Måns Kjellman in the 8th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artemio Quiroga in the 11th minute of play forced América-SC F.C.'s goalkeeper Nestor Quirino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Artemio Quiroga sped through América-SC F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nestor Quirino. 14 minutes into the match, América-SC F.C.'s Gabi Gol sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Martin Tudor narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 21st minute of the match Dino Petricca sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nestor Quirino skillfully saved the ball. Elder Domingues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Tudor having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, América-SC F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Manole Bordeanu came free, but Nestor Quirino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manole Bordeanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Nestor Quirino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Artemio Quiroga's late challenge caught a América-SC F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Artemio Quiroga helped the player get up and apologised. When América-SC F.C.'s Gabi Gol in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC ANC's goalie prevented a goal. Nestor Quirino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artemio Quiroga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC ANC's Martin Tudor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save FC ANC from getting a goal against them. Gabi Gol might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Martin Tudor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gabi Gol ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erasmo dos Santos in the 46th minute of play forced FC ANC's goalkeeper Martin Tudor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half FC ANC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Gabi Gol made the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, FC ANC's Nestor Quirino threw himself towards the right post 58 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Manole Bordeanu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When FC ANC's Måns Kjellman in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye América-SC F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. 74 minutes into the game, Norbert Kiss was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC ANC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave América-SC F.C. the free kick. In the 75th match minute, FC ANC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norbert Kiss to maneuver through the defense. In the 82nd minute of the match, Artemio Quiroga got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nestor Quirino was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gabi Gol in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Martin Tudor saved FC ANC from getting behind. In the 87th minute Gabi Gol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Tudor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC ANC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Téo Cordeiro was slow to take the kick. During this time América-SC F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. Elder Domingues made a great header on América-SC F.C.'s corner, it was just that FC ANC's Martin Tudor managed to reach the ball for a save. Gabi Gol might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Martin Tudor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
