Kostja Vertot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dobromir Gdowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kostja Vertot didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dobromir Gdowski went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Kostja Vertot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Luiz Xavier, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute, André Luiz Xavier made a precise shot to the right of Kostja Vertot. Fajteri's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ponc Calderona in the 42nd minute of play forced Fajteri's goalkeeper Kostja Vertot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Feručo Camlek managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fajteri's supporters rose to their feet, but Feručo Camlek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erez Manco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 54 minutes into the match, KS Ruch Chorzów's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Vogrinčič came free, but Erez Manco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in KS Ruch Chorzów's zone, Armando Vogrinčič stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erez Manco came out of the goal and Armando Vogrinčič tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Erez Manco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Vogrinčič in the 60th minute of play. Fajteri's Kostja Vertot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Fajteri from getting a goal against them. Kostja Vertot was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but André Luiz Xavier showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 66 minute of play. KS Ruch Chorzów's Karol Madajczyk was substituted for Dobromir Gdowski. Fajteri's Frank Hostar was substituted for Armando Vogrinčič. Kostja Vertot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cyprian Niziolek in the 77th minute. Milisav Kovše hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. When the match was over KS Ruch Chorzów could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Fajteri throughout the match.
