Yrigoyen.F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Golden Generation the free kick. The supporters of Golden Generation booed when Yrigoyen.F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luizão Massa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Yrigoyen.F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Yorrick Hekman came free, but Petr Školník reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Golden Generation's Yorrick Hekman got a free kick in the 20th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Huang Rong in the 22nd minute of play forced Yrigoyen.F.C's goalkeeper Petr Školník to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Petr Školník made an important save on a dangerous shot by Huang Rong in the 24th minute. Yrigoyen.F.C's Petr Školník proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Yrigoyen.F.C from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Golden Generation getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Maximino Malvin hit a great ball. Petr Školník showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Enoaia, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 46th match minute, Yrigoyen.F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurelio Feliz to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Golden Generation's Elivélton Cunha was substituted for Huang Rong. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Diego Milito was the one to do the kick off. Diego Milito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee showed Maximino Malvin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With a little luck, Golden Generation's Turgay Şeren got control of the ball when Matías Suárez tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Golden Generation's Jaime Arnau got a free kick in the 97th minute. Matías Suárez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Turgay Şeren made a huge save. 98 minutes into the game, Matías Suárez recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Turgay Şeren. Matías Suárez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. The Yrigoyen.F.C supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Yrigoyen.F.C would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
