Golden Generation's Yorrick Hekman was substituted for Toni Delgado. 27 minutes into the game, Golden Generation's Huang Rong nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabiano Rago made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 30 minutes into the match, LIVIOFOREVER's goal looked a bit too open when Huang Rong came free, but Fabiano Rago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 38 played minutes LIVIOFOREVER got a freekick which was hit by Moisés Schmidt. Golden Generation's Huang Rong got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Enoaia in the 42nd minute of play forced LIVIOFOREVER's goalkeeper Fabiano Rago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Golden Generation's Turgay Şeren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuele Morelli in the 53rd minute of play. After 53 played minutes Golden Generation got a freekick which was hit by Ulises Dimas. Dante Chabot hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. LIVIOFOREVER's Fabiano Rago proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save LIVIOFOREVER from getting a goal against them.
