Gigel Elenescu kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 7thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Minho FC's keeper Zeferino Diegues was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Gigel Elenescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Zeferino Diegues made a huge save. 14 minutes into the match, Minho FC's goalkeeper Zeferino Diegues had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nils Hovermann. Zeferino Diegues made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nils Hovermann in the 14th minute. After 18 minutes of play, Minho FC's Cristopher de Alcântara made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rune Jarstein was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilhelm Nienhaus in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zeferino Diegues saved Minho FC from getting behind. Rune Jarstein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristopher de Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 30 minutes of play, Minho FC's Cristopher de Alcântara made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rune Jarstein was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Minho FC's zone, Nils Hovermann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zeferino Diegues came out of the goal and Nils Hovermann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristopher de Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Jarstein having to interfere. Rune Jarstein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristopher de Alcântara was the one to do the kick off. Minho FC's Alberto Paez managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gigel Elenescu in the 52 minute of the game. Nils Mademann made in the 53rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Minho FC's Alberto Paez. If Ivo Mourato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 57 minutes into the match, Minho FC's Cristopher de Alcântara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rune Jarstein narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Stefan Mayer made in the 59th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Minho FC's Vladimiro Gago. Minho FC's Zeferino Diegues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josua Borger in the 60th minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Minho FC's Cristopher de Alcântara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rune Jarstein narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hertha 1969's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Demetrio Savini was slow to take the kick. During this time Minho FC's players had a chance to rest. Minho FC's Demetrio Savini was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rune Jarstein in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristopher de Alcântara got free with Rune Jarstein in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nils Mademann hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Nils Mademann kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After 72 minutes, Nils Mademann mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hertha 1969 and the Minho FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cristopher de Alcântara scored 0-4 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rune Jarstein, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Minho FC's Zeferino Diegues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josua Borger in the 77th minute of play. Cristopher de Alcântara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Rune Jarstein made a huge save. After 83 minutes, Cristopher de Alcântara made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Hertha 1969's Rune Jarstein tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Minho FC's Vladimiro Gago got a free kick in the 85th minute. After 86 played minutes Minho FC got a freekick which was hit by Vladimiro Gago. In the 87th minute, Gigel Elenescu sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Minho FC's Zeferino Diegues didn't even have to move. 90 minutes into the game, Wilhelm Nienhaus was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hertha 1969's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Minho FC the free kick. In the 90th minute, Wilhelm Nienhaus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Hertha 1969 booed when Minho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yu Ran Zhen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wilhelm Nienhaus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeferino Diegues having to interfere. Minho FC's Vladimiro Gago quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Nils Mademann, made in the 96th minute of the game. The Hertha 1969 supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Minho FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Minho FC.
